Two Year Live-On Requirement
The University of Denver requires all incoming first-year, second-year, and transfer students to live on campus and subscribe to a residential meal plan to support their academic experiences and overall success. Students may apply for an exemption by selecting the Exemption/Contract Breakage form and must provide supporting documentation of eligibility for Exemption.

If you are an incoming first year or transfer student or current rising 2nd year, 3rd or 4th year, or Graduate student you can apply for housing using the Application Tab. First Years & Transfer Students: For incoming First Years & Transfer Students joining DU for the 2026-2027 Academic year, the housing application for the Academic Year 2026-2027 is now open! To apply for housing for Academic Year 2026-2027, please follow the steps below.
- Log into the Housing Portal by clicking Student Login.
- Once logged in, click on “Application” and click the Academic Year 2026-2027 term
- You should have received your user ID and password from Undergraduate Admission for MyDU, during the application process. If you have not received your user ID and password, or you cannot remember them, please contact Undergraduate Admission at admission@du.edu or (303) 871-2036.
